It has been far too long since my last post. I have been so busy the last 16 months. Life has been so much fun. My baby brother Sawyer is my best friend in the whole world. Each morning when one of us rolls out of bed, way too early Mom and Dad say, we go find the other and hatch another scheme for the day. I can write a catch up post later, but I wanted to share the Halloween Dance Party video from last night. We started the party at our house with so many of my friends coming over for a quick dinner and then off to Trick-o-Treat! Jack (Spiderman), Mira (Mermaid), Emma (Mermaid), Me (Batman), Sophia (Cheerleader), Ella (Mermaid), Owen (Blue Monster), Luca (Spider), Caleb (Lion), Sawyer (Robin), Niko (Chicago Bear), Cally (Bunny) and Kinley (Dinosaur). We laid waste to the neighborhood and left no prisoners. The candy piled up and our bags were dragging on the ground with the sheer weight of Snickers, Hershey's and Play-Doo. What a great time. We finished the night at Ella's house with a Dance Party. Can't wait for next year. Going to be another Legendary Halloween.

Spring Skiing

Hello Everyone,

I had an awesome weekend. On Friday night we went to the Ski Store and I got some skis and boots. I was so excited to wear them; it was so cool. When we got home I brought my gear inside and was planning on putting all the equipment in my bed, but Mom and Dad had other plans. I just don't understand them sometimes.

The next morning we drove up to the mountains for my first ever skiing adventure. I was so excited I could barely contain myself. It took a while to get all of our gear on at the car, but once we did, I was on cloud nine. That is, right up until it was go time. Then all of the people and madness were a little too much. Dad had to let me chill for a little bit and then he and I got onto the chair lift. That was super cool and I waved and said HELLO to all the skiers below.

I got about 10 runs in and by the end of the day, I was skiing all by myself down about 40 to 50 feet. It was the best and I cannot wait until I can ski again. you can see my videos at Rocco's YouTube. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am having.

Winter

I have been having a great winter. The weather has been fantastic and we have been playing outside nonstop. My new wagon has so many miles on it already in 2009. Each day we go to the park I load up two basketballs, two soccer balls and my baseball bat and baseballs. I meet many friends at the park and we have plenty of toys for everyone.

It's My Party

Hey Guys,

It is my birthday today. It was a great day. I went to the park with Grandma and Mommy for hours. Then at night we went swimming and I showed Grandma that I do indeed go down the really, really big slide and how I do 360 spins in the air. Daddy, Mommy and I had so much fun. Then we took Grandma to Enzo's for some pizza. Tasty!

I got lots of fun things in the mail. My Aunt Denise sent me some fun Monkeys and a cool pillow case. My Great-Grandma sent me the coolest Shrek card that I was dancing to nonstop.

Although I have to tell you that before this big Monday, I had an all-star Birthday weekend. On Friday night I got to play with Grandma and stay up way past my bedtime. Then Saturday, we were all running around trying to plan for the big night. I had some of my best friends coming by to party. I showed them all of my toys and we played for a long time. It was so much fun.

The next day, we played at the park and went to my friend Aiden and Mia's new house for the Superbowl. There whole basement was filled with toys and fun. We had a great time but had to leave before the game was over. So when we got home, Daddy and I did some tackling drills so I would get the real taste of the Steel Curtain. I showed him.

January Fun

Hey Guys,

Life has been good in Colorado. I have been singing my ABC's (sort of), went to my first NBA basketball game and loved Rocky the mascot, partied with Kyle at his 5 year Birthday party, played in the snow with Mom, Dad and Cooper. We have been busy.

I get to go swimming all the time and play with my best pals. Macy and I go up and down the BIG slide 20 times a night. She is so fun to chase around the pool. She is a little older and does flips in the pool and swims all by herself. I am trying to follow her around as much as I can. Back in the neighborhood, my friend Mira and I go to the park all the time. On a warm sunny day I met her at the zoo and we went on the Carousel together (that is her in the pigtails). She just got a new puppy and I am excited for her, I love my dog Cooper.

My sentences are beginning to come together, so Mom and Dad are finally starting to understand me. My favorite things to say are "Come with ME!" and "Totally Wicked!".
Have a great week.

The Christmas Orange

Hello Everyone,

I had a fantastic trip back to the Midwest for Christmas. It started in Woodbury, MN with my Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom. They were so fun. Mary had some great toys that used to be Chris, Pete and Bill's. Their dog was so little and cute. Cooper loved her, but she wanted nothing to do with that brute. The weather was so cold, so we played inside and it was great. From there, we traveled east to Green Bay to see the Mumas and the Pupas. I had such a great time with my family, they were so fired up to see me. Aunt Candice brought a kitten with her and I loved chasing that little bugger around the house. I got to go sledding with my cousins on Christmas Eve. There was so much new snow that Dad kept digging his heals into the freshies and all the snow flew up into my face. It was cold, but I loved it.

I was such a good boy in 2008, that Santa visited me two times this Christmas. He brought me a lot of presents and well wishes. To show my appreciation, I wanted to give Santa something nice. But all I could come up with was an Orange. So like the Little Drummer Boy, I did the best I could and peeled Santa the Orange right then and there. He was so appreciative of the Orange and that made me feel good. I hope you all had a great time this Holiday Season and can't wait to see you in 2009. You will have to meet my new brother or sister this summer.

Falling Leaves

Hello Friends and Family

Fall has been fantastic so far. We celebrated Birthdays, raked some leaves and played at the park a lot. I really like going to the playground and doing laps up the steps and down the slides. Mom and Dad cannot even keep up with my speedy feet. At the park I will sometimes see my neighborhood friends and we play together.

School has been awesome. Each day as we ride to class, I recite my friends names. And some days, I don't even want to leave. My teachers told Mom and Dad about my alleged flirting. I just think the girls in my class are cuties. Therefore, whenever they come into the classroom, I try to make them feel welcome by running over with a toy for them. They all smile and giggle.

The other day when Mom picked me up; Grace wanted to give me a hug. We ran to each other at top speed and both failed to slow down. It was quite the collision. She knocked me right over and fell on top of me. The collision hurt pretty bad and I cried in front of her, I was so embarrassed. She was sad too and said "Sorry...Rocco...Sorry". I forgave her and we have moved on.

I am really gearing up for Halloween next week. I have my SPIDER costume all dialed in and ready to go scaring. It is going to be so cool. I love saying "Pumpkin" at all the neighborhood decorations. This weekend we are going to the Pumpkin Patch with Kyle and Keiren. Speaking of the cousins, we had so much fun at the pool the other weekend. Kyle and I were going up and down the huge slide as fast as we could. It was awesome. Then we played back at their house and Kyle and I had the same pajamas, my cousins are so cool.
I hope to see you all soon and can't wait to hear from you.

Ding, Ding goes the Trolley!

I had quite an awesome weekend for Mom's Birthday. On Friday, we went to the airport and I got to use my super-sweet rolling luggage that my Dad got for me in Munich. At the airport, everyone thought I was just the cutest as I ran circles around Mom and Dad with my Felix luggage. When the AIRPLANE took-off, I was so excited. It was a great flight and I love to be with all those new people. Our weekend in San Francisco was so fun. I got to ride the Cable Car Trolley and run up the steepest hills that shouldn't be roads. I also dipped my toes into the ocean, mocked the former inmates of Alcatraz and gobbled up cupcakes at Ghirardelli Square.

On Saturday, we went to Sonoma and Napa Valley with one of Dad's oldest friends Sean and his new fiance Allison. They were so nice and I had a lot of fun playing with them and showing them my tricks. At one winery, I got to play with Moose, the English Bulldog/Labrador mix. He was so big and cute that I had to give him lots of hugs and kisses.

I also loved all the grape vines and olive trees. At night, we had dinner at the fanciest restaurant that Mom and Dad have dared to take me to at this young age. The food was fantastic and our patio table overlooked the large garden, vineyard and mountains. The sun was setting and I took that as my cue to show my belly to a cute little girl that was with her parents. She loved my six pack.

When the sun finally dipped below the peaks, the stars came out and I had to show everyone the great views of the night sky. One by one, I grabbed Mom, Dad, Allison and Sean and brought them out to the grass field to lie down and look up at the stars with me. It was just perfect. I really enjoyed Mom's birthday trip and can't wait to go back to California and see Sean and Allison again. Their little dog Robot was so cute, I think that he and Cooper would be great friends.

How is my September going you ask?

Hello Everyone. This September has been a whirlwind. I have been having so much fun with Mom and Dad; we get to play outside everyday. I try to keep Cooper involved in the action when I ride on his back like a "Orse". I also take him on his walks in the morning and at night. It is great exercise and I am the king at trespassing on everyones' lawns, especially the super long ramp for the old lady a couple blocks down.

Since last blog, I have run in two separate races. The first race was at the Children's Museum and I did awesome. Look at my game face as I prepared and stretched with Mom. The race was pretty intense, but I was patient and made my move at the right time. I was just trying not to get distracted by my goofy dad running backwards with the camera.
The second race was for Children's Hospital and it was the Tiny Miracles 5k. I rode in the jogger this time and Dad and I took 2nd place in the stroller division. We were flying. The post race party was great. There was music, big bouncy castles, balloons, face painting and lots of food. I had a lot of fun with my friends and cousins.
My Monday was a lot of fun, I got to go to Dad's office and watch a movie on the big tv. And Mom let me hide the new baby cupboard locks so I can get at the food at anytime. Then tonight, Dad and I were working on tackling drills. I was taking it easy on him since he wasn't wearing pads, but we had a lot of fun. I hope you are all having as good of a end of summer as I am.

Time Off

It has been some time since I last wrote. In fact, we were in Breckenridge enjoying the summer vacation. Tonight I am going to give an update on the rest of the summer. After we all had such a fun time with the Berg family vacation it was on to July. I went to my first Colorado Rockies baseball game. Enjoyed a great weekend with my Aunt Candice. I also went to the pool a lot and really had fun learning to swim, kick and blow bubbles.
Shortly after Candice's visit I was taking Cooper for a walk down the sidewalk. I took my eyes off the crooked sidewalk for just a moment and tripped. I went down hard, but did not think I was going to be too bad off until I hit my face smack onto a piece of concrete.
Halfway through July my dad took off to go to a bike race in Europe. He was gone for two and a half weeks, I really missed him. While he was gone mom and I had such a fun time. And Grandma Debbie showed up from Green Bay and that was awesome. But then Mom left and I was a little sad until Grandpa Keith came to town and the three of us caused a lot of trouble all over town.
When Mom and Dad got back I was so happy to see them. Although I could tell they missed me more. And Dad had these sweet blue sticks he called crutches. I got to play with them and leave him stranded a couple houses down while I rode them like a play pony. (His broken pelvis is healing and he is nearly good as new). We have been having a blast and even had a visit from Portland Dave and his girlfriend Nicole. They were so much fun, I believe I really tired them out from a long weekend of playing and early mornings. I hope you are all well.

Vacation in Breckenridge - Part 1

Hello Everyone,

It is mid June, and I am having a blast in Breckenridge. I am here with my Cousins: Brent, Kyle, Sam, Kieren and Edgerrin for 8 whole days. There are 16 Bergs sharing one house...insane. I can't wait to get up every morning and play with all my buddies. My Mom sure loves that. We have been going nonstop. So far I have mountain biked on some killer single track with my Grandma Gretchen and Dad. He claims to have been holding onto the bike, but I kept pushing his hands away, so I don't know what he is talking about. Then I perfected the art of flying down the driveway hill on my Radio Flyer bike with my feet in the air. My Aunts and Uncles keep making such a big deal because the road at the end of the driveway goes downhill for nearly a thousand feet. I don't think they realize who I am. I have also gone on some great hikes, which typically include Dad getting lost and somehow convincing Mom to run ahead to see where the trail goes. She can sure run uphill. In Vail, I played on a huge pirate ship and got soaking wet in the fountains. We really like it here and can't wait to tell all of you about the trip. I will check back in with you guys soon.

Water Time

The pool season is finally here. I am so excited because I love the water and splashing around. In the last two days, I was able to go swimming TWO times. On Sunday, Mom and I went to the country club pool with the Quinn's. It was so much fun. I showed Caitlin and Hannah how crazy I can be in the pool. Mr. Quinn even gave me some lessons on fluidity in the water and how to pick up poolside babes. I don't think he realizes how much that is going to backfire in a decade when I am taking his daughters to the movies. How naive...
Then on Monday, Dad and I went to opening day at the neighborhood pool. It was so cool. I got to play with Aiden and Mia Chase. They have big time pool experience that I am going to learn from. And this time it was the lifeguards oogling at me. Must be the guns.

I also got my first bike helmet this weekend. It has goofy ducks all over it. But it fits me great, don't you think? Now Dad takes me on real long rides on my own bike. I even do wheelies and hop curbs. It is great. BIKE is one of my favorite words.

Today was a good day at school. Here is an excerpt from my Sunshine Report: "Rocco is such a sweet and polite boy. He really loved the peas for lunch and each time we gave him more, he said 'Thank You!'. He had a blast on the playground. He's been happy all day and seeing his smile makes us happy!"

Outsider

The spring weather has been great and I have been spending all of my time outside. Here is a list of what I have been up to:
  1. Riding bikes. I have been riding on my little bike that my neighbor buddy Matthew gave me, I also ride Dad's new mountain bike, a couple spins on my cousin Kyle's bike and the most miles just chilling in the Burley behind Dad.

  2. Gardening. I am really good at helping my Mom with her flowers, especially watering everything.

  3. Sandbox. There has been plenty of sand relocation these past couple weeks. I have moved it from the box to the yard, the house and a lot in my shoes.

  4. Lacrosse. I have two new Lacrosse sticks and a ball. I have been learning to catch and throw to Mom and Dad.

  5. Trails. We have been hiking up the mountains and it is sure fun. I get to hike by myself for a while too. I love stepping on the big stones and jumping up and down.

  6. Birthdays. First it was Caitlin's birthday. She had a Pirate/Princess party and we played on her new playground and ate lots of cake. Then it was Sophia's birthday and I ate more cookies than all the adults and kids combined. Mom and Dad couldn't catch me, let alone stop me.

  7. Gelato. We went to Cherry Creek for Gelato and I was awesome. I ate all of mine and a lot of my Mom's too. She is just too slow of an eater. Not my fault.

This past weekend I also got to play with Kyle and Kieren for a long time and my Godmommy Shannon Babysat me on Monday while Mom and Dad took in a movie. Shannon is so fun to play with and she feeds me as many blueberries as I want.

Life is good, everyone. Only 3 weeks until we are all in Breckenridge for a week. I am going to show my cousins how good of a hiker a really am.

I Love My Mom

I had so much fun this weekend. We stayed real busy. It was Mother Day and I prepared big time for Mom. Dad took my to the store on Saturday to get flowers and some supplies. When we got home, we painted Mom a special picture frame. I used all the colors from my paint set and it turned out perfect. I topped it off with a picture of me. We spent a lot of time outside in the strange rain, snow and windy weather. At night Shannon and Jeff came over and we played a ton. I showed them all of my cell phones and giggled a lot.
Then Mother's Day arrived. I was so excited that I couldn't (didn't) sleep. Maybe it was these darn teeth coming in, I don't know. But she loved my picture. After breakfast, we went to the park and I played on all the slides and saw lots of doggies. But I was tired and needed another nap. When I got up, we did my favorite thing. We loaded up the bikes and rode off to the park to watch Mr. Quinn play in a LaCrosse game. Frankly, I thought he was too old for that game, but he did great, and they won. The game was not nearly as fun as chasing Caitlin around for a couple hours, she is so cute and fun to be with. Her little sister Hannah is sure growing up fast, she has as many teeth as I do. I played so hard that I fell asleep in the Burley for the return trip. It is so cozy in there.
The last thing I want to tell you about and show you is my sweet new trick. It took me a day or so to perfect this, but I think it is sweet. Dad had time to get a picture of it. If you want this picture autographed, send $2.95 and a self addressed envelope to AWESOME Radio Flyer Tricks, c/o RNB.
